Stainless Steel 316 and 316L Welded Tubing are composed primarily of iron, chromium (16–18%), nickel (10–14%), and molybdenum (2–3%). The molybdenum content enhances resistance to corrosion in aggressive and chloride-containing environments. Grade 316L has lower carbon content, improving weldability and minimizing sensitization. Typical tensile strength ranges from 515–690 MPa, with yield strength of approximately 205–275 MPa. Welded construction ensures uniform wall thickness, dimensional accuracy, and reliable mechanical performance under pressure and temperature variations.
