Stainless Steel 317 and 317L Welded Tubing are austenitic stainless steels composed mainly of iron, chromium (18–20%), nickel (11–15%), and molybdenum (3–4%). The molybdenum content significantly improves resistance to pitting and chemical corrosion. Grade 317L has lower carbon content, enhancing weldability and reducing sensitization. Typical tensile strength ranges from 515–690 MPa, with yield strength of approximately 205–275 MPa. Welded construction ensures uniform wall thickness, dimensional accuracy, and dependable mechanical performance in corrosive and high-temperature service environments.
