Stainless Steel 347/347H Heat Exchanger Tubing is manufactured from columbium (niobium)-stabilized austenitic stainless steel containing 17–20% chromium and 9–13% nickel. Grade 347 exhibits superior resistance to intergranular corrosion, particularly following welding, while 347H has a higher carbon content (up to 0.10%) for increased creep strength and high-temperature use. The tubing has a tensile strength of 515–750 MPa and a yield strength of approximately 205 MPa. Both grades exhibit mechanical stability and oxidation resistance in continuous service up to temperatures of 900°C.
